Community Neurological Rehabilitation Services

Cardiff and Vale UHB has a range of community neurological rehabilitation services that can be accessed by people with acquired or degenerative neurological disorders residing in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

 

The philosophy within each team is to work in partnership with patients, their families and / or carers, encouraging self-management support, optimizing quality of life and enabling individuals to re-learn skills and achieve maximum independence within the community.

Clinical Neuropsychology

The Department of Clinical Psychology works alongside inpatient and outpatient services.

The Welsh Neuropsychiatry Service

The Welsh Neuropsychiatry Service is a specialist tertiary mental health service for individuals who have suffered a serious acquired brain injur.

Community Brain Injury Team

The Community Brain Injury Team (CBIT) is based in Rookwood Hospital, Cardiff.

Early Supported Discharge Service (Stroke)

The Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Service is a multi disciplinary team providing specialist stroke input to patients in the community.

NeuroOutpatient Physiotherapy

The NeuroOutpatient Physiotherapy Team works with service users with a diagnosed neurological condition.
