Rwy'n feichiog, a allaf gael y brechlyn COVID-19?

Yes. The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) updated their advice on 16 April 2021, stating that all pregnant women should be offered the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the UK roll out. You will be offered the vaccine at the same time as the rest of the population, based on your age and clinical risk group.

The information in the leaflet linked here will help you make an informed decision on the COVID-19 vaccine if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant.

If you have further questions, speak to your doctor or midwife. They will be able to discuss with you the benefits and potential risks of vaccination, based on your personal situation. Pregnant women should be offered the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines where possible as these vaccines have been given to over 90,000 pregnant women in the US with no safety concerns.

Further information on COVID-19 vaccines, pregnancy and breastfeeding is available from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
